With the NCAA Playbooks being announced last week, the talk about Madden NFL 25 News was building up steam and today EA announced the full schedule of Playbooks for Madden NFL 25 and also released the game’s first (really the second) official screenshot featuring Buccaneer’s RB; Doug Martin.

Here is the schedule:

 - Run Free (April 24th)  – Unlock the power, precision and creativity of an NFL ball carrier.

- Infinity Engine 2 (April 24th) -  Check out the 2nd version of Infinity Engine and how it will impact the game

- Connected Franchise Part 1 (May 6th) – Cement your legacy as one of the all-time great NFL players or coaches in the new and improved Connected Franchise.

- Connected Franchise Part 2 (May 20th) – Take Ultimate control of your franchise.

- Madden Share (June 24th) – The best content from around Madden NFL universe, right at your fingertips.

- Madden Ultimate Team (July 1st) – Enjoy new ways to play and build your team in this year’s edition of Ultimate Team.

The really cool thing about the NCAA Football 14 News that has surfaced over the last couple of days is that what you see may be something that you’ll see in Madden NFL 25.  Sometimes that’s not the case but in an instance such as Game-play where there is a Central Game-play Team it’s hard to imagine that they would build the core game-play of the two games (Madden and NCAA) that much different from each other.  I’m not going to talk about the NCAA Football 14 Trailer that showed off the running game with the new Infinity Engine, or the NCAA Ultimate Team news, but instead focus this article on a piece of what Jon Robinson of ESPN talked about in his ‘NCAA Football 14: A First Look Preview’ article – “New Improved Spread Option” .

Today Jon Robinson of ESPN.com revealed the first exclusive image for Madden NFL 25 which features Arian Foster running over Von Miller.  Jon asked EA for some clarification and the reply was “the game will highlight a ‘run free ball carrier feature’ that will offer ‘unprecedented ball-carrier control and precision.’”

Today, Cam Weber; general manager of American football operations at EA SPORTS confirmed that the next version of Madden NFL will be called Madden NFL 25.

 “There’s no better way to celebrate and mark the culmination of 25 years of innovation than by naming this year’s game Madden NFL 25.  This year’s game will push the boundaries with gameplay and feature innovations that will lay a very strong foundation for the next 25 years of this storied franchise.”  – Cam Weber

With the Super Bowl coming up; the Rating Czar, Donny Moore has put out a Super Bowl Roster.

The biggest mover after Conference Championships Weekend was Baltimore HB Bernard Pierce, who received a four-point increase to 77 overall after rushing for 52 yards on just nine carries. Baltimore QB Joe Flacco continued his ascent into the league’s elite with another two point boost this week (now 91 overall), while Atlanta WR Julio Jones (92), San Francisco FB Bruce Miller (88), and New England OL Ryan Wendell (82) also received two point upgrades. San Francisco LB NaVorro Bowman went up one point as well to a 94 overall.

What I think is crazy is the decrease of Ray Lewis.  How does the guy who made the most tackles in a game where they shut out the New England Patriots in the 2nd half goes down.  I’m not sure what Ray Lewis did in that game was any less than what he did in the previous game vs. Denver.  I’m gonna see if I can have a sit down with Donny Moore the next time I get the chance to go down to Orlando.

In a thrilling contest that went down to the final seconds, the Electronic Arts Inc. Madden NFL 13 Super Bowl Prediction Powered by Xbox 360® has predicted the Baltimore Ravens as Super Bowl XLVII champions, defeating the San Francisco 49ers 27 – 24. With the victory, the Ravens captured their second Lombardi Trophy and allowed linebacker Ray Lewis to end his illustrious NFL career as a Super Bowl champion.

With the Conference Championship games being played this weekend, EA SPORTS and the ratings Czar have put out the latest roster updates.  It’s very interesting to hear people’s takes on these ratings throughout the year and I really have no idea what some people are saying.  Some are saying that the Seattle DB’s should go down even more because they got torched.  It’s one game, does one game mean a 5 point decrease? Would love to hear your thoughts, but there is no doubting the play of Colin Kaepernic.

The holiday season is among us and I was asked by my co-worker who is married to a gamer what she should buy him for Christmas.  I usually don’t get asked these questions, but since I’m a gamer I told her 5 things she should get him that would make him very happy.  I also talked about this on my latest podcast – Game Changers Radio – Show #82

#5. XBOX 360 Microsoft Points and PSN Cards ($20) – My first suggestion as a stocking stuffer is Microsoft Points and a PSN Card.  You can buy these at your local GameStop and they can used for buying games in the XBOX 360 Marketplace and the PSN store. There are many increments of these cards but what I suggest is buying a $20 Microsoft Card which is 1600 points or $20 PSN Card.  I told her that he probably could use them cause she mentioned he has both systems.

The Walking Dead ($30) – The Walking Dead is not only a great series on TV but it is now the Game of the Year according to SPIKE TV and I have to agree.  I played this game and it was so great that I’m picked it up from Game Stop the other day.  You used to only get the Walking Dead by buying the Episodic DLC but now you can find all 5 episodes on 1 disc for $30.  He’ll also be impressed that you know it’s the Game of the Year.

MadCatz – MLG Pro Circuit Controller (PS3 – $100 XBOX – $100) – The essential accessory for every gamer is his controller and some are very obsessed with their controller, even so much as naming them.  My controller is called Simone, she’s curvey, very smooth, fits my hand perfectly, and loves when I press her buttons. But I always didn’t have Simone and I went through many controllers until I found her.  And she is the MLG Pro Circuit Controller.  I suggest this controller to everyone, especially if you have two systems.  I never liked the PS3 controller and like the XBOX 360 one better and this controller for the PS3 feels and looks like the XBOX 360 and you can switch the setup to have the analog sticks like the one on the 360. Go get it for your gamer!

#2 Turtle Beach Ear Force X12 – ($50 X32 (wireless) – $80) – The two things a gamer goes through the most are controllers (which I suggested a good one above) and headsets. There are no better headsets than the Turtle Beach Ear Force. Now I have the X32 which are wireless and the sound is so clear but I’ve heard on good authority that the X12 which is wired are very clear as well.  These are your ordinary headsets either as you can have all the sound come through the headphones, which if your wife is constantly yelling that your TV is too loud, is a major plus.

The Madden NFL 13 Week 14 rosters are out and updated with a bunch of RB getting some love this week including Detroit HB Joique Bell going up 3 points to a 72 overall, Philadelphia HB Bryce Brown gets another nice increase up to 80 overall (+3), and my favorite Washington HB Alfred Morris getting a 2 point increase to move up to an 83 overall.
