Madden NFL 13 will be released on August 28th, 2012 and we’ll countdown to that moment with tips, task lists, answers to burning questions you have, and information that will get you ready to play some Madden 13.

29 Days Till Madden NFL 13 – Player Ratings Revealed Today

With under a month left until guys start lining up outside their favorite game store; EA released the plans to reveal the player ratings for Madden NFL 13 on their latest podcast (first 15 minutes). EA SPORTS is revealing Madden NFL player ratings and team ratings a little different this year. ESPN will NOT be revealing the Team Ratings as before. EA SPORTS themselves will be unveiling a top 10 list each week and it starts this week with the Top 10 QBs. Not only that but they are giving fans a chance to determine specific ratings for the top players in the league for each position. So for QB’s you’ll be able to vote on who should have the best SPD, AWR, THP, and THA rating. At the end of the 4 weeks, they will reveal all team ratings.

Here is the schedule from what I can gather:

Week 1 – Top QBs in Madden NFL 13

Monday, July 30th: Top 10 QBs revealed by Marshall Faulk via Video (probably on EA SPORTS YouTube Channel – Subscribe!)

Monday, July 30th – August 2nd: Fans vote for the top 3 QBs specific ratings (SPD, AWR, THP, THA).

Friday, August 3rd: Result for Fan voting revealed.

Friday, August 3rd: All QB Ratings Revealed

Week 2 – Top RBs in Madden NFL 13

Monday, August 6th: Top 10 RBs revealed by Marshall Faulk via Video (probably on EA SPORTS YouTube Channel – Subscribe!)

Monday, August 6th – August 9th: Fans vote for the top 3 RBs specific ratings (SPD, ELU, TRK, AGI).

Friday, August 9th: Result for Fan voting revealed.

Friday, August 9th: All RBs Ratings Revealed (Not sure if they will do all of them but I’m thinking they will.)

Week 3 – Top WR/TEs in Madden NFL 13

Monday, August 13th: Top 10 WR/TEs revealed by Marshall Faulk via Video (probably on EA SPORTS YouTube Channel – Subscribe!)

Monday, August 13th – August 16th: Fans vote for the top 3 WR/TEs specific ratings (SPD, SPC … not sure on the other 2, maybe CTH, and RTR).

Friday, August 17th: Result for Fan voting revealed.

Friday, August 17th: All WR/TEs Ratings Revealed (Not sure if they will do all of them but I’m thinking they will.)

Week 4 – Defense

Not sure how they will do defense, but I know this is week 4′s focus.

Just got some clarification on how the individual fan voting will go. So for example they will list the top 3 QBs in each of the categories and fans will vote from those 3 which one should have the highest number in that category.

So for QBs SPD, they’ll probably have Vick, Cam, and RGIII and you’ll vote for who should be rated the fastest, but I don’t think you’ll decide the number they get.

Still unclear what other positions will be revealed but I will make sure I keep everyone up to date.

Don’t act like Eli is Tom Brady, Steve. The guy threw 12 interceptions in the 7 games they lost last season, and he guided them to only 3 wins in the last 8 regular season games. I’ll admit it, he got hot when it mattered, but its not like the guy is Tom Brady or Drew Brees consistent. He couldn’t even take his team to the playoffs the previous two seasons, and the year before that he was awful against the Eagles in their wildcard loss (0 TD’s 2 INT’s). In 2007-08, he did win a Super Bowl, but I wouldn’t brag about a 56% completion percentage and 23 TD’s to 20 INT’s. Lets be honest, he is ranked this high because the Giants won 2 Super Bowls in the last 5 years and not because of his consistency.

Ok so in that case if your looking at stats.. where is Romo in your top ten? 31-10 td:int 4500+ yds 100.00+ passer rating yeah id say ^10

Like I said, I gave my feedback and hopefully they can do something. I gave other feedback and have seen them put it in so I wouldn’t get worried about that yet, but if E3 gets here and it’s not in there then I understand. Saying something has not been done when the game isn’t finished isn’t fair unless EA says it’s not going to be in there.

Seems like nothing has been done to improve OL/DL play in the passing game. The lack of double team blocks is particularly upsetting as this is a staple of the NFL game. Elite edge rushers are always getting chipped, double teamed or something else to ensure they are not a disruptive force. Madden continues to neglect that year after year.

This is a Madden list, not a NFL list. Wilson’s ratings are sup par when it comes to running the ball. If this was an NFL list then yea Id take Wilson over EJ. EJ is a big guy and will be a load like Cam.

Pryor can’t throw.

The list is for qbs that can throw. As much as I like Denard his throwing ratings are going to be terrible.
