Chargers Add Ronnie Brown To Large Stable of Backs

The Chargers have signed free agent RB Ronnie Brown. The touchdowns he scored with the Eagles(1), amounted to the same number as his lost fumbles.
Brown joins WR’s Robert Meachum and Eddie Royal, TE Dante Rosario and rookie TE Ladarius Green as promising, young additions to the offense in 2012. Brown isn’t young in terms of wear and tear, but will only be 30 when the season starts. At this point in his career, Brown needs to be able to pick up blitzers better and more routes than the young guys. I don’t expect them to use him in Wildcat, but Norv Turner has a superb offensive mind.
The other running backs on the roster are Ryan Mathews, Curtis Brinkley, Michael Hayes (who scored 25 TDs the last two years at University of Houston) and 5’8″, 204 lb. rookie Edwin Baker from Michigan State.
Ronnie Brown makes it 11 Pro Bowlers – as Lebron James would say, “Not five, not six, not seven” – on this team, adding to Kris Dielman, Philip Rivers, Eric Weddle, Nate Kaeding, Randy McMichael, Antonio Gates, Shaun Phillips, Nick Hardwick, Takeo Spikes, and Le’Ron McClain.
