Madden 13 Cover Vote Down to 8

It seems like this #MaddenCoverVote process is taking forever.  We are only down to 8 which means we have 3 more rounds before we see who will grace the cover of Madden NFL 13.

Here are the Elite 8 Match ups:

Cam Newton vs. Larry Fitzgerald – Cam Newton s a heavily favorite of the fans that I talked to.  I was chatting with my barber today and he said he doesn’t want Cam on there because of the Madden Curse.  I just laughed cause he doesn’t even play Madden, but knows about the curse. I don’t want to see Fitz on there because I’ve already seen that … Cam moves on.

Patrick Willis vs. Victor Cruz – I admit that I didn’t have Willis beating Madden fan MJD last round, but he has and he will face Victor Cruz in the Elite 8 round.  Willis was the only one I missed out on moving on and he will probably move on to beat Cruz, but as a Redskin fan it would be great to see a Giant on the Cover with the Madden Curse intact.

Aaron Rodgers vs. Ray Rice – Both of these guys have been on EA Covers before with Rodgers being on Madden 12 and Ray Rice being on NFL Blitz.  I don’t want either one of these guys on but if I had to choose one, I’d choose Ray Rice, but I have a feeling Rodgers will move on. Rice just beat out Brees by 2% in the last round, I look for him to have another close battle but him coming up short.

Calvin Johnson vs. Rob Gronkowski – Apart from Cam Newton, these two guys are players I would love to have on the cover of Madden NFL 13.  They are both playmakers in the game and in real life. It’s tough to pick one of these guys but if it came down to it, I would like to see Megatron on the cover.  He’s been doing his thing for  while, so I’d like to see him get some more recognition.
